  • We are an insurance-friendly practice! We are happy to provide you with a superbill and any information you may need to try and get reimbursed for services from your provider. We have partnered with Mentaya to enhance these benefits (ask your counselor for more information).

The benefits of private pay versus insurance include confidentiality of treatment, flexibility to choose your therapist without adhering to insurance requirements, and quicker access to treatment without prior approval from insurance companies.

  • Individual sessions for therapy last 45 minutes. Intake sessions last 60 minutes and account for extra time to answer questions and ensure you and your therapist are a good match.

Most clients find that weekly sessions are more beneficial, however we do provide biweekly and monthly sessions as well.

Therapy can last as long as you'd like it to last. You exist in a Village to find support when and how you need it. Sometimes we find ourselves needing extra support and other times we feel capable of moving forward without extra assistance. One of the perks of not using insurance is that we aren't limited to a treatment window or terminating treatment after hitting a goal. Many clients find that ongoing therapy is highly beneficial to their well being and continued growth, while others visit us in periods of heightened stress or relapse in previously tackled issues. We're happy to talk about your unique needs and our professional recommendations.

  • Your first session with your therapist is called an Intake Session. You and your therapist will spend time getting to know one another, discussing your goals and intentions for counseling, and fostering the foundation of our counseling time together. This is a time for us to learn how we can best join your village and cultivate growth, self-reflection, and resiliency in ongoing sessions. Come with questions, goals, thoughts, or anything else you want us to know about you!
